John and Jean Gauthier of Ontario Ave., Cranston, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married on September 5, 1953 at Ss. Peter & Paul Cathedral in Providence, with Father Carey officiating. A reception of 200 people was held at the Cranston Alpine Country Club. Jean’s father, Gaetano Allegretti, gave her away. John Recitelli was best man and Barbara Mollo was maid of honor. Lillian D’Ovidio and Grace DeConcilis were bridesmaids and Charles Gauthier and Eugene David were ushers. They have two children, Gail Brown and Jack Gauthier, and four grandchildren, Vanessa and David Brown and Jake and Jesse Gauthier.
