On Feb. 6, the Rhode Island Library Association (RILA) will celebrate the annual RI Library Legislative Awareness Day in the State House Rotunda from 2 to 4 p.m. The event works to exhibit library-related organizations and show legislators the benefits they have on communities. The public is invited to let their leaders know how integral library resources are, and plans to showcase the virtual presence of those unable to attend in person.
RILA encourages those wishing to virtually connect to call 203-READ (7323) before or during event hours. With each caller’s permission, his or her name and message will be written on a poster at the event. RILA also encourages those unable to attend to write comments to be shared at the event via Facebook at facebook.com/rilibraries and Twitter at @rilalibs.
