To the Editor:
On March 2, Secretary of State John Kerry described Russia’s action in Crimea as “an incredible act of aggression … You just don’t, in the 21st century, behave in 19th century fashion by invading another country on completely trumped up pretext,” he said. And on March 17, President Barack Obama declared, “Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity must be respected, and international law must be upheld.”
Messrs. Kerry and Obama must be joking!
The U.S. invaded Iraq and Afghanistan “on completely trumped up pretexts.” (If you still believe George Bush had legitimate reasons to attack Iraq, please read the transcript of his press conference of Aug. 21, 2006. There, he confessed that both his “reasons” were bogus.)
The U.S. has threatened to attack Syria and Iran. And Mr. Obama is using drones to kill people in Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia without even calling it war. There are many more examples.
Israel’s treatment of the indigenous people of Palestine makes South Africa’s apartheid look mild. So, will Obama impose strict sanctions on Israel? Hardly. On the contrary, he’s giving advanced U.S. weapons and billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars to the Israeli government to continue terrorizing the people whose land it is stealing.

Let's see - Afghanistan was under the control of the Taliban and Bin Laden initiated Sept 11 from that country. Iraq was under the control of Hussain who was not only flaunting international law but had previously attacked its neighbor. Hussain had also used chemical weapons against Iran. Syria has used chemical weapons on its own people and Iran had the ability to build a nuclear weapon if not stopped. Pakistan is the home of Al-Quada as is Yemen and Somalia.
Ukraine? A peaceful country, limited military capability that was looking for a better relationship with the West.
And you say WHAT?

ROD...you anti-semite you. Afghanistan not justified? Really? There's no talking to you. Iraq was a truce from the justified war of 1991-92. We had no fly zones there. Just as the Korean conflict has not been settled, it is just a truce, Iraq was still a war, albeit inactive. The commander in chief could decide to invade (go hot) any time he thought it necessary. Same with Korea. Obuma could have invaded NK yesterday after they exchanged shots with SK. The two coutnries are technically still at war.
