Mayor Frank Picozzi is closing in on his self-imposed deadline to have his popular digital light show up and running on Black Friday if he can only outsmart the rabbits. He’s foiled squirrels from climbing the poles supporting roof displays to reach wiring junctions that apparently they find a delicacy. Rabbits are another challenge. They like munching on conduits with bundles of wires. Picozzi attributes their taste of the cable to the soy products used in making its insulation. Saturday found him replacing the conduit and burying it before the rabbits went looking for dinner. (Warwick Beacon photos)
