Bishop Hendricken High School junior Addison Heffernan finished among the top 10 students in the state at the Rhode Island Science and Engineering Fair, held at the Community College of Rhode Island on Sunday. Heffernan, whose project focused on the racial biases of machine learning models used in the medical field, is waiting for the call to see if he will be going to Washington, D.C. for the National Science Fair.
