Apponaug Pride 14U placed second in the N.H. Comets Turn 2 Invitational Tournament in Bow, N.H., this past weekend among 21 teams with a record of 6-1.

Pitcher Katelyn Hawes threw a no-hitter on Friday, with the help from her defense against the Seacoast United Bandits-Blue in an 8-0 win.
