Autumn events at Wickford Art Association

This fall, the Wickford Art Association (WAA) plays host to a variety of exhibits and events and we are thrilled to have doors open to the public Wednesday through Saturday (noon-4 p.m.) and Sunday (noon-3 p.m.). It’s still beautiful down by the beach – every day is a great day to visit!

Now through Sunday, Oct. 18, check out the eighth annual Poetry & Art Exhibit featuring 42 original poems with responsive artworks in a variety of mediums. The limited-edition book is available for $25 in-gallery or through our online store.

On Sunday, Oct. 18 at 4 p.m., the Art All ‘Round Concert Series will feature the Kleyla Family Band with an acoustic rock set of originals and covers. The cost of $25 per person includes samples of Gooseneck Vineyards wine. The event is limited to 50 guests. Tickets are available at BrownPaperTickets.comFrom Friday, Oct. 23, through Sunday, Nov. 15, check out the National Photography Exhibit juried by David Helfer Wells (davidhwells.com). Free opening receptions will be held on Friday, Oct. 23, at 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., with registration through Brown Paper Tickets. Also check out Small Works, the annual show/sale of artful gifts. Registration is open for up to 45 member artists. Small Works runs Nov. 20 through Dec. 22 with no work larger than 14 inches and no price tag above $300. Details are posted to the 2020 Small Works webpage, wickfordart.org/small-works-holiday-sale-2.The Wickford Art Association is a nonprofit organization with approximately 450 members from Rhode Island and New England. The association hosts art exhibits, classes, lectures, and workshops in its North Kingstown gallery and has produced the summertime Wickford Art Festival since 1962.
