As it has done for decades Pawtuxet Memorial Cemetery lined the roads leading through the cemetery with American flags bearing the names of veterans buried there. The flags serves as a reflective display bringing both family and friends of the deceased as well as pausing on Memorial Day together. Some families even made the occasion an outing. A US Marine Corps sergeant, her father served during WWII and was injured in a battle for the Marshall Islands. Upon returning to Rhode Island he ended up working at Federal Products.
