Richard F. Bacon, 80, died Tuesday at home surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Patricia A. (McLellan) Bacon, his wife of 58 years.

 Born in Providence, a son of the late Raoul E. and Dorothy M. (Minnie) Bacon, he had been a Warwick resident for over fifty years. Mr. Bacon was a ramp supervisor for Allegheny Airlines and American Airlines for twenty-eight years before retiring in 1993. He was also a commercial fisherman for many years. Richard loved spending time with his family, fishing, hunting and watching his favorite New England sports teams. He also enjoyed watching college football and golf.

 Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Richard F. Bacon II and his wife Debra of Coventry, Joseph R. Bacon and his wife Lisa of Warwick, and Jon-Paul Bacon and his wife Brandy of Warwick. Richard also had seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was the brother of Robert Bacon, Ronald Bacon, Russell Bacon, Randy Bacon, Nancy Bergeron, Donna LaPlante, Darlene Covill, the late Gladys Ciorlano, Dora Ellinwood, Joan Adams, Raymond Bacon, Christine Poland, and Daniel Covill.
