Barbara Joyce, 86, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021 at Sunny View Nursing Home in Warwick. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph J. Joyce.
Born in Indianapolis, IN, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Eugina (Clark) Anoskey. Barbara was a computer programmer for 10 years for various companies. She graduated Bryant in 1986 with her Bachelor degree in computer science. Barbara was a member of the Colon Cancer Alliance and St. Kevin Church Women’s Club.
She was the beloved mother of Patricia J. Gomm and her husband Martin and Michael J. Joyce and his wife Carla; grandmother of Timothy, Sean, Eric, Ryan, Chris and Theo; great-grandmother of Andrew, Shamus, Grace, Arya and Benjamin.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 9 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, Warwick, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane. Burial will be in the RI Veterans’ Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are Monday, 4-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Narragansett Council, Boy Scouts of America, 10 Risho Avenue, East Providence, RI 02914, or the RI ASPCA, 186 Amaral Street, Riverside, RI 02915, will be appreciated. Face masks and social distancing observed.
