Patricia L. Benz, 85, died Sunday April 2, 2023. She was the beloved wife for 65 years to the late Robert C. Benz and daughter of the late James J. and Louise (O’Donnell) Quinn Sr. Patricia was employed as an executive secretary with the Warwick School Department for many years. She had worked at Pilgrim, Warwick Veterans, and Toll Gate High Schools retiring as the Executive Secretary for the Superintendent of schools. She was the loving mother of Terry A. Benz (Patrice Holton), MaryLou Miner (Michael), Sheila M. Cienava (Michael); grandmother of Dr. Elizabeth G. Benz, Philip C. Benz, Erin E. Ross, James T. Miner, Emily A. Cienava, Meghan A. Cole, Michael J. Cienava II, and great-grandmother of 13. She was also the sister of James J. Quinn Jr. and Maureen F. Mesh.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday April 11 at 9:30AM from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:15 AM in St. Gregory the Great Church, Cowesett Road, Warwick. Burial will follow in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Monday April 10 from 4-7 PM.
