Lois Lillian (Anderson) Berghorn, 98, of Warwick, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter C. Berghorn for 57 years. Born in New Bedford, MA, she was the daughter of the late Frank J. and Blanche L. (Nystrom) Anderson, Sr.
Lois worked as an Assembler and Supervisor for Northern Telecom for over 20 years. In her free time, she enjoyed teaching her grandchildren to swim and advised them “no jumping off the deck”. In retirement, she and her beloved Bergie traveled all around the United States and spent time in Bonita Springs, FL. Her goal was to see as many National Parks as she could. She also enjoyed knitting, sewing and was an avid reader. Lois also loved a good jigsaw puzzle.
She is survived by her loving children, Paul F. Berghorn of Warwick, William M. Berghorn of Coventry, Kristina B. Raso of Warwick, her baby-sister Shirley Siravo of Wakefield, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was the beloved Auntie Wesa to her many nieces and nephews.
Lois was the mother of the late Jane L. Girouard and Richard C. Berghorn, and sister of the late Frank J. Anderson, Jr., Barbara Hoffman, and Virginia Impagliazzo.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 10:00AM at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Interment will follow at Pawtuxet Memorial Cemetery, Warwick, RI.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, from 4:00PM-7:00PM at the Funeral Home.
