Virginia R. (Lamond) Blair, age 82, passed away Friday, September 27, 2024, with her family by her side. Born in Providence, she was the youngest of three children born to the late Herbert A. and Rose W. (Allen) Lamond.
Virginia is remembered as being the consummate mom and homemaker. She, along with her husband raised two sons, while being longtime owners and operators of Del’s Lemonade in Johnston. Her greatest joy and sense of accomplishment came from being a Grandma. Above all else, she loved to spend time with her five grandchildren and nieces and nephews, especially family vacations taken all together.
Virginia was the devoted mother of Gary Blair and Mark Blair and ‘Grandma’ to Austin, Aaron, Allison, Sydney and Haley. She was the sister of the late Kenneth Lamond and Dolores Lamond-Rolle and the former wife of Harold Blair.
A Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 4-7pm with a Memorial Service at 7pm in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited to gather Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 11am for Virginia’s interment in St. Ann Cemetery, Church St., Cranston. For those that will be attending please arrive at the gates of the cemetery no later than 10:45am.
