Bonnie L Robinson, 75, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021, at Kent Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Frank D. Robinson. Born in Providence, she was the first born of the late Henry A. Brelsford and Madelyn (McCusker) Brelsford (Rhodes). She was the devoted mother of Robert J. Ursillo, Brian C. Ursillo and Nicole C. Jardin; grandmother of Jack Ursillo, Alex Ursillo, Christian (CJ) Jardin and Jessica Jardin; treasured sister of Henry T. Brelsford, M. Cynthia Ullrich, Jayne M. McKivergan and the late Dale L. Sullivan, and Patricia S. Brelsford. Bonnie devoted the first several years of her adult life raising her three children. Once her children were old enough, Bonnie started on her path to realizing her full potential. First as a teacher and then as a principal, she was able to combine her ability to connect with children with the chance to pass on her love of education and knowledge to the next generation. After having a positive impact on hundreds of children's lives, retirement did not dampen her curiosity or love of children, and she continued as a substitute teacher for many years. Bonnie graduated from RIC with her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Education and went on to complete her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies. She is credited with receiving the RI National Distinguished Principal of the year award in 1996-1997. Throughout her career in education, she served in Coventry Schools, Chariho Regional Schools and completed her career in the Warwick Public Schools District where she served from 1998 through her retirement in 2007. Since retiring in 2007, she and her husband have enjoyed traveling and residing in both Florida and Rhode Island. Her lifelong interests included a love of traveling and creating art, including drawing, painting and sculpting. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, golfing and skiing. Her incredible presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family. Information and condolences, visit theQuinnFuneralHome.com
