An early-spring sun casts its long rays across a milky sky, glistening off the shiny chrome fender of a classic 1956 Chevy. The custom 1956 Chevrolet 210 Series Sport Coupe, painted an eye-catching Porsche Guard Red, sits on the lot of Brock’s Collision Center & Auto Repair where it is waiting to be picked up by its grateful owner. The car came to this longstanding auto body shop in Apponaug to be repaired after it suffered some minor damage, and the day of this long-anticipated “reveal” has finally arrived. When an irreplaceable car like this Chevy endures even minor damage, it involves a MAJOR effort to restore it ~ especially when the talented and meticulous team of technicians at Brock’s is doing the work.
Though Brock’s Collision Center services vehicles of all makes, models and years, restoring classic cars like this beauty calls for a “full court press” and an absolute dedication of skill and time. Vehicles like this are rare at Brock’s as they require such an intense and specific set of skills that are very time-consuming.
This 1956 treasure alone required an entirely new paint job ~ every inch, every curve of the car’s exterior, every single surface. Along the way, many parts were replaced, from hardware to lenses, moldings, clips and trim pieces. The auto body work had to meet the high and uncompromising standards of Mike Thoin, Avery Broccoli and the entire crew of this landmark repair shop. These specialists spare absolutely NO detail when it comes to bringing all their vehicles “back to life”.
If one didn’t know better, one might think that this bright red Chevy had just rolled off the assembly line, ready to take its first turn on the highway. There is no evidence of any of the original damage. The work is flawless.
The vehicle is the pride and joy of its owner and the final product, revealed after months and months of tireless work, is now also the pride and joy of this unique team of experts at Brock’s.
Perfectionism is a high bar by anyone’s standards, but it is the daily expectation for the technicians at Brock’s Collision Center & Auto Repair. This expectation of perfectionism extends far beyond the serious technical work done by them every day; it applies to every aspect of their craftsmanship, every conversation they have with your insurance agency, every minute they spend repairing your vehicle. As Avery Broccoli explains: “Everything gets done here with that kind of perfection.”
Brock’s Collision Center & Auto Repair is a cut above its competitors. They focus on the task at hand. They care about their customers and value their time and resources. They are professional and hard-working. They are perfectionists.
