Historical Society
The Warwick Historical Society meets weekly at the John Waterman Arnold House on Roger Williams Circle Wednesdays from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and every second Saturday of the month at 11 a.m-2 p.m. All are welcome and urged to become member and volunteer. Art Camp
Kids crave creative stimulation, and Summer Art Camp will keep them busy. All workshops are taught by experienced instructors with emphasis on trying new materials, stretching imaginations and having fun in a safe, encouraging atmosphere. Best bets for registration are Improv Comedy and Art of the World (week of Aug. 5 from 9-11 a.m.). Other workshops also have openings so call for availability. Workshops are $80 each and a week of three workshops is $225 (a savings of $15). Registration is easy by phone with MasterCard or Visa, or stop by Warwick Museum of Art, 3259 Post Road, with cash or check. The Rhode Island Children’s Chorus will hold auditions for new chorus members Aug. 1 from 4-7 p.m. at Cardi’s Furniture, 1681 Quaker Lane (Rt. 2) West Warwick (Exit 8 off Route 95) and Aug. 3, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the RI Philharmonic Music School Carter Center, 667 Waterman Ave., East Providence. Boys and girls ages 7-18 years are invited to meet with director Dr. Christine Noel for a brief interview and vocal audition. No prior singing experience or appointment is necessary. The audition is private and will take about 10 minutes. Children auditioning and accepted into the chorus may choose to attend classes at either the East Providence or East Greenwich locations. Warwick American Little League announced their annual field day, where they get to give back to all of the families that have made this year a great success. Join them in a fun-filled day where fun will be had by all. This year we will have a 20-foot rock wall, a halo jumper, rag ball games and so much more. The event will be held at Boyd Field from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Aug. 3. This event is for the children and families of children who play baseball on a Warwick American Little League team.

St. Kevin’s Church, 333 Sandy Lane, is holding bingo Aug. 3 in their air-conditioned church hall. Doors open at 5 p.m., bingo starts at 6. Fun, prizes and refreshments.
Intertribal
Powwow
The American Indian Federation, Inc. will present the 78th Annual Intertribal Powwow Aug. 3 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the American Indian Federation Hall Grounds, 1 Indian St., North Kingstown. Host drum is Turtle Mon; invited drums are Red Moon and Soaring Eagle Singers. All Native American drums and dancers are welcome. The public is invited. Contact Chief Walking Turtle at 632-7095.

Artist’s Exchange will present their 8th annual One Act Play Festival Wave II through Aug. 4 Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m., Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 advance, $20 at door.
