To the Editor:
The wine tasting event for Warwick RSVP held at Jordan’s Splash Theater April 23 was a blast! A lot of people showed up and everyone had a great time – the various wines provided by People’s Liquor Warehouse were all superb, and the food prepared by Macera’s was outstanding. Everyone connected to the evening was very thankful for the help this newspaper gave.
Most importantly, RSVP was able to raise a little money to help fund the many services these volunteers provide to this city, especially the transportation program that helps give rides for the elderly and disabled so they can make vital medical appointments.
But just as these services are ongoing throughout the year, so is the need for funding. So if you missed the big event and didn’t get a chance to help, take a second to contact RSVP at 732-4666, ext. 154 or 152, and see how you can pitch in to make Warwick a better place to live for all of our seniors.
