Warwick Vets opened the girls’ soccer season with four games against teams from Division II-South. All four of those opponents have winning records thus far, and unfortunately for the ’Canes, they all own wins over Vets. The ’Canes dropped to 0-4 with a 2-0 loss to Chariho on Friday afternoon. Kendra Howard made six saves for the ’Canes, but first-half goals by Megan Kirby and Brianna Williams proved to be enough for the Chargers. Vets will try to get into the win column today when it hosts North Smithfield at 3:30 p.m. (Warwick Beacon photos by William Geoghegan)
