Carl Robert Johnson, 74, of Warwick, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Kent Hospital. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Carl J. and Marjorie C. (Farrell) Johnson.

Carl graduated from Bishop Hendricken High School in 1964 and received his Bachelor Degree from Rhode Island College in 1968. He went on to complete his Master of Education in 1972 and served in the Scituate School System as the Principal of the Hope Elementary School. He also proudly served his country in the Rhode Island National Guard. In addition to his work as an Educator, Carl was an active parishioner of St. Catherine’s Parish in Warwick where he had taught catechism classes since 2004. He was a member of the Arthritis Foundation, the Rhode Island Post Card Club, and the Rhode Island Audubon Society.

He is survived by his aunt, Jean Vient, and his cousins, Kathy Vient (Christopher) and Peter Siczewicz (Mariette). He was the cousin of the late Marilyn Lamaendola (Richard).

His Funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at 10 a.m. from the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11a.m. at St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home prior to the Mass from 9-10 a.m. Interment will take place at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
