Barbara E. Carlow, 93, a lifelong resident of Warwick, died at her home, Friday, August 11, 2023, surrounded by her caring family.
She was the beloved wife of the late Everett A. Carlow, (Captain, Warwick Fire Department). Born in Warwick, Barbara was the daughter of the late David and Helen (Reynolds) Tyler.
A Library Assistant from 1987-2014, she served in the Apponaug Branch of the Warwick Public Library.
A graduate of the Lockwood High School. Barbara was a faithful member of the Warwick Central Baptist Church, The Greenwood Volunteer Fire Company.
She was an avid reader and she enjoyed caring for her garden and watching the birds.
Barbara is survived by her devoted children, Karen J. Leite, Steven B. Carlow (Shirley), Randy H. Carlow, Gary R. Carlow (Elizabeth), Robert G. Carlow (Sandra).
She was the cherished grandmother of Robert Jr., William, Breanna, Sara, Samantha, and great-grandmother of Lilly and Allison.
She was predeceased by her brother Sheffield B. Tyler.
Her Funeral Service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Eleven O’clock in the morning in the Warwick Central Baptist Church, 3070 Post Rd., Warwick.
At Barbara’s request, Visitation will be for her family and invited friends. Burial will take place at Brayton Cemetery, Apponaug.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the Warwick Central Baptist Church, 3070 Post Road., Warwick, RI 02886.
