Carol F. (Sunday) Reynolds, age 82, of Warwick, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children on April 3, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert E. Reynolds, her high school sweetheart and husband for 57 years. She was the sister of the late Sandra L. Smith.
Born in Providence, the daughter of the late John J. Sunday and Frances M. “Faye” (Aiello) Sunday. She was a life-long Warwick resident. She was a proud graduate of the class of 1958 from St. Francis Xavier Academy in Providence.
Carol retired from the Federal Government as a professional secretary for the U.S. Government. She had worked at the Naval War College in Newport and retired from Davisville Naval Base in Quonset, with 20 years in respectfully.
Carol loved bowling and she often traveled to play in team tournaments in Atlantic City, Florida, and Las Vegas. Carol loved to visit various casinos with her husband. They participated in a Hi-Lo-Jack league at the Pilgrim Senior Center.
Carol always had her family at her house for Christmas, holidays, and birthdays. Her favorite was Christmas.
Carol loved animals, she always had cats and dogs as part of her family.
Carol is survived by two sons and two daughters: Edward R. Reynolds of Cranston, Sandi L. Plouffe of Warwick, Shelley J. Higgins of Scottsdale, AZ, and Scott J. Reynolds of Warwick. She had nine grandchildren: Kelly Reynolds, Victoria Karlstad, Cassidi DeFusco, Kirsten Reynolds, Jacob Plouffe, Scott Reynolds, Jr., Jillian Higgins, Isabella Higgins, and Jeffrey Stevens. She also had two great-grandchildren: Owen and Grayson Phillips.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at 10 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Ss. Rose & Clement Church, 111 Long Street, Warwick. Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
Visiting hours are Wednesday, April 6, 2022, from 4-7 p.m. at Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home.
