On Friday, Nov. 22 Barnes & Noble Warwick on Bald Hill Road will join nearly 700 stores nationwide to officially launch the holiday shopping season with a first-of-its-kind, one-day Discovery Friday.
Discovery Friday will feature fun and festive events for the entire family, including games, giveaways, special deals and discounted products, plus a chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree.
Children’s author Marianne Plumridge and illustrator Bob Eggleton will conduct a special storytime and book signing for their children’s book, “If Dinosaurs Lived in My Town” from 2 to 4 p.m. At 6 p.m., there will be a special appearance of Elf, from “Elf on the Shelf!” Elf will be able to talk with all the kids, answer questions and have pictures taken with all the kids. Elf will begin with a reading of “Elf on the Shelf” and will be available to meet kids until 8 p.m.
