Traditionally Rhode Island Families for School Choice holds an annual event at the State House enabling its members to visit the State Capitol and to hold displays for legislators and visitors to learn more about the schools. This year, the group in partnership with the American Federation for Children moved the event to the Crowne Plaza where it was held Sunday with 28 schools participating. There were activities to engage kids such as face painting, the photo booth, balloon characters and brownies (a favorite with parents, too) as the adults talked with representatives for participating schools.
