Clare Therese (Stroessner) Brissette, 79, of Warwick, died on Thursday, April 16, 2020. Clare grew up in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Cecelia (Tierney) Stroessner.

Clare resided in Rhode Island for many years prior to moving to Virginia in 1975 where she raised her family with her husband, Bernard Brissette (married 1962-1994). While she was a devoted stay at home mother as her children were growing up, she worked part-time as a real estate associate for several years prior to her move back to Rhode Island later in her life. She remained there until her recent passing. She was a member of St. Kevin’s Parish in Warwick. Clare was a generous, patriotic, kind-hearted lover of animals and an enthusiastic Red Sox fan who enjoyed many summers with friends and family at Narragansett Beach.

She is survived by her three loving children, Gene and his wife Jan; Lisa A. Anderson and her husband Jeff; Dan and his wife Chandra; her brothers, Walter Stroessner of CO and Paul Stroessner of FL, and five grandchildren. She was a sister to the late Vincent C. Stroessner of Hoboken, NJ and the late Anne McDonald of Warwick.

Due to health and safety regulations, her Funeral Service was private and entrusted to The Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave, Warwick.
