Coastal1 Credit Union announces promotions

Coastal1 Credit Union with more than $3.1 billion in assets and 133,000 members in Rhode Island and contiguous southeastern Massachusetts recently announced a series of promotions impacting its 18 offices. Coastal has offices in Pawtucket, Cumberland, Smithfield, Providence, North Providence, East Providence, Bristol, Cranston, Warwick, East Greenwich, North Kingstown, Wakefield, and North Attleboro, MA, as well as the Coastal1 Loan Center in Foxboro.

Carrie Abatiello has been promoted to General Counsel Senior Vice President/Compliance Officer. Her overall responsibilities include reviewing all new and renewing vendor contracts, being engaged on all legal matters, acting as the primary compliance resource for state & federal regulatory agencies, auditors and legal counsel. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Wheaton College, a Juris Doctorate from Roger Williams University School of Law and a Master of Business Administration from Suffolk University.

Patricia Carlin, Senior Vice President/Controller, has overall responsibility for the financial function of the Credit Union including regulatory reporting. She has been with the credit union for eight years most recently serving as Vice President/Controller. Patricia holds Bachelor Degrees in both Accounting and Financial Management from Salve Regina University.

Senior Vice President/Audit Manager, Kathie Corrigan has overall responsibility for the creation, scheduling, and execution of the risk-based internal audit plan in addition to reporting findings to the Credit Union’s Supervisory Committee. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from Johnson & Wales University and is currently pursuing her MBA at the Manning School of Business at UMass Lowell.

Melinda Gaudreau , Senior Vice President/Retail Administration & Digital Delivery is responsible for the Credit Union’s branch network, contact center, eCommerce and wealth management departments. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in business administration from Bryant University.

Michael Barry has accepted the position of Vice President/Commercial Underwriting Manager and has overall responsibility for managing the underwriting, closing and loan servicing functions for the Commercial Loan Department. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Bridgewater State College.

As Vice President/Indirect Lending, Rebecca Lisi has overall responsibilities for creating department efficiencies and process improvements, oversees departmental functions including the underwriting, decision making and funding processes on indirect loans. She has over 18 years of experience in the indirect automotive industry most recently serving as Assistant Vice President/Indirect Lending.

 With more than  15 years of compliance experience most recently
serving as Compliance Specialist, Greg Nowak has been with the Credit Union for the past seven years as Dealer Relationship Manager.  Greg holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Roger Williams University, and has accepted the position of Assistant Vice President/Compliance Specialist working with Union staff in the development and implementation of appropriate internal controls, policies, procedures and practices.

Assistant Vice President/Dealer Relationship Manager in our indirect auto lending division, Jared Rubin’s responsibilities include establishing and maintaining new and existing auto dealer relationships.
