The Chiefs of Police Secretaries Association (COPSA) is awarding a $500 scholarship to a high school senior or anyone possessing a GED from any Rhode Island high school-public, private, or parochial-accepted in a business program and has a good scholastic average. This is a one-time scholarship award and must be utilized during the year it is awarded. Applications must be postmarked by May 15, 2017. Applications, selection criteria and contact information can be found on the following police department websites: Cumberland Police Department, Johnston Police Department, or the Smithfield Police Department. Here, COPSA members gather at their March 10 meeting held at the LaFamiglia Restaurant in Cumberland.
