Pannone Lopes Devereaux & West LLC (PLDW) Partner Brian J. Lamoureux, a national authority on social media and the law, will lead a discussion on Internet safety and cyberbullying with parents and teachers at St. Peter Tri-Parish School, 120 Mayfair Road, Warwick on Wednesday, Nov. 12, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Parish Creche Room.
Attorney Lamoureux’s presentation is entitled “W.W.J.P. (What Would Jesus Post?).” His remarks will include an in-depth discussion of the pervasiveness of cyberbullying and its harmful consequences, as well as a review of social media apps and sites children are using, often without their parents’ knowledge. He will also explain how parents may be held responsible for what their children post online and provide practical tips and cautionary questions adults should be asking themselves.
