When Mayor Frank Picozzi sought to express solidary with the people of Ukraine, he turned to his staff to see how they might obtain a Ukrainian flag to fly at City Hall. Meg Underwood, director of senior services whose grandparents emigrated from the country had the answer. On Saturday morning she joined members of the City Council and state representatives to see the mayor raise the blue and yellow flag. Appropriately, Ward 6 Councilwoman Donna Travis wore a matching outfit. Picozzi expects the flag to fly for at least a week. (Photos by the Warwick Beacon and Councilman Jeremy Rix)
