Edward Andreas, 93, passed away Tuesday April 13, 2021. He was the beloved husband of the late Evelyn (Black) Andreas and the late Virginia McKenna.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Richard and Emelie (Frederica) Andreas. Edward was a toolmaker by trade, working for Brown and Sharpe and Leesona. He was a World War II Army Veteran. Edward enjoyed life before the pandemic including going out to eat, socializing at the bar, bowling, playing golf and tennis.
He was the father of the late Joseph Flaherty. He is also survived by his loving children Raymond Flaherty and wife Elaine, Catherine Oneppo and husband Nick, Joyce Hedden and husband Jim, Jane Leveille and husband Jim, Liz Cardente, Robert Cardente and Carol Canzonieri and husband Ron. He was the grandfather of Jason (Dana), Jared, Derek (Denise), Nicole (Nolan), Candace (Adam) and Sean (Janie). He also leaves 11 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Monday April 19, 2021 at 10am in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane, Warwick. The mass will be life streamed and can be viewed at www.stkevin-stbenedict.org. Military honors will immediately follow. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to VNA of Care N.E Hospice, 51 Health Lane, Warwick, RI 02886 or Cornerstone Adult Service, 140 Warwick Neck Avenue, Warwick, RI 02889, would be appreciated.
