This Wednesday, June 8, the Warwick Fire Department will host a promotional ceremony in Council Chambers at City Hall beginning at 6 p.m.
Battalion Chief Thomas Jessop will provide greetings. Father Peter Mongeon will provide the invocation and Father Robert Marciano will provide the benediction.
At the ceremony Mayor Scott Avedisian and Fire Chief James McLauglin will swear into office, Assistant Chief James Kenney, Deputy Chief Thomas Maymon, Battalion Chief Thomas Sinotte, Battalion Chief Robert Bubar, Battalion Chief Thomas Sugrue, Captain Scott Capwell, Captain Bryan Barlow, Captain Paul Letourneau, Captain Marc Lamiroy, Lieutenant William Alsfeld, Lieutenant Robert Vallely, Lieutenant John Pella, Lieutenant Philip Doar, Lieutenant Patrick Crowley and Lieutenant Normand Lemay.
At the ceremony several new retirees will be recognized as well. They are: Assistant Chief David Morse, Deputy Chief Francis Colantonio, Battalion Chief Frederick Trudell, Captain William Tyler, Lieutenant Timothy Packhem, Rescue Lieutenant Jeremey Beecher, Firefighter Stanly Zuba and Firefighter Gregory Montecalvo. McLaughlin will then make an address.
The ceremony will feature the Rhode Island Professional Firefighters Pipe & Drum Corps and the Warwick Fire Department Honor Guard.
