Robert Fitzpatrick Sr., 80, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024, peacefully at home. He was the beloved husband of the late Judith I. Anderson-Fitzpatrick for 58 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Harold and Isabel (Fox) Fitzpatrick.

Bob is survived by his three children, Eileen Turnbull-Barber and husband John, Kerry Cartier and fiancé Gregg, and Robert Fitzpatrick Jr and fiancé Barbara; he was the cherished grandfather to Bruce Turnbull and wife Samantha, Cayla Cartier, and Tara Fitzpatrick; and adored great grandfather to William, Jonathan, Reese, and Brody. Bob is also survived by 2 sisters, Patricia Paiva (Joe) and Judith Scott. He was the beloved brother of the late Joan Kenyon and Harold Fitzpatrick Jr.

Bob started working at fourteen years old, driving a milk truck in Warwick. He received his GED from Warwick Veterans High School in 1981. Bob was a Machinist most of his career, mainly in management positions. He met his wife at Leviton Mfg. in Warwick in 1959. They married in the summer of 1962, and by 1967, had 3 children and their first home. His pride and joy!

He was fortunate enough to retire at the age of 60, to enjoy many years, eating, drinking, and traveling with their two best friends Terry and Red. They enjoyed many weekend getaways to the Irish Village in Cape Cod, the White Mountains of NH, and their favorite place, Foxwoods.

Bob was an extremely generous man, helping anyone he could, when he could. He enjoyed the Boston Red Sox, the NE Patriots and Budweiser beer. But most of all his family! He and his wife loved nothing more than all their grandchildren, devoting most of their lives to all of them. There was nothing more important to him. His family brought him the most joy and he will be very missed.

All Funeral Arrangements and Services will be following Robert’s wishes and remain Private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at: https://www.stjude.org/donate. His final resting place will be with his wife Judith, in Elm Grove Cemetery, Exeter. For online tributes and condolences, please visit: www.thequinnfuneralhome.com
