All four Warwick schools took the football field for the first time this season on Thursday night, as they each played a half of football at Warwick Vets for the annual Injury Fund games.
Hendricken and Pilgrim squared off, with the Hawks winning 27-8 thanks in part to two touchdowns from Gary Gibbs. In the other game, Vets knocked off Toll Gate 12-0.
The regular season begins this weekend, with non-league games. Hendricken hosts St. Raphael, Pilgrim heads to Smithfield and Toll Gate travels to Cranston East on Friday, while Vets travels to PCD/Wheeler/Juanita Sanchez on Saturday.
