Donna Gill died September 2, 2023, surrounded by family she was 82 years old. Donna was the daughter of Earl and Alice Gill of Warwick, RI. She was preceded in death by her bothers Earl and John Gill, her sisters Patricia (Farrington) and Dorothy (Lee). Donna spent many happy years with her companion Thomas Ursillo before his death.
She will be missed by her sister Ruth (Mamlock) and her sister-in-law Lynne Gill both from Rotonda Florida. Donna is survived by many nieces and nephews who have fond memories of spending summers at the family beach house on Charlestown beach. She will be missed by her friends at Sam’s restaurant in Warwick especially her best friend Barbara Croker.
Donna was born and raised on West Shore Road and attended schools in Warwick RI. She worked at AMICA Insurance company starting her career in 1960 retiring from the data processing department in 1995 after 35 years of service.
She loved animals including many German Shepards that she adopted over the years. Donna also had a passion for Mustang cars and owned several during her lifetime. She had a hobby of collecting antique dolls over the years which she donated later in her life.
There will be a celebration of life in Warwick at a later date to be announced. Burial will be at the Pocasset Cemetery in Cranston RI. Family would like to thank Tidewell Hospice and Brookdale Rotonda assisted living for their compassionate care.
