Peter Andrew Gubata, 67, of Warwick, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Kent Hospital. He was the loving husband of Chery A. Gubata. Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Aline (Walts) Gubata.
Peter was a member of the Teamsters 251, a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish for many years before joining St. Joseph Parish. He enjoyed nature, camping, swimming, being a Boy Scout Leader and assisting others.
Besides his wife Cheryl, he is survived by his beloved son, Peter J. Gubata of Warwick, his grandson Evan Gubata, his brothers, Joseph A Gubata III (Vicky) of California, and John A. Gubata (Joyce) of Plymouth, MA.
Peter was predeceased by his son Michael K. Gubata, and his brother Paul J. Gubata.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Church, 854 Providence St. West Warwick. Burial will take place at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, R.I.
Visitation took place prior from 8:00AM to 9:00AM at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.
