Harold Tyler Davis Jr. 83 of Fort Mill SC, formerly of Warwick RI, passed away after a brief illness on February 9, 2023. He was surrounded by his loving family. Born November 5, 1939 in Boston Massachusetts he was the son of the late Harold Tyler Davis Sr. and Helena (Latham) Davis. He was predeceased by his brother Ronald Davis, and his sister Barbara Davis.
He is survived by his loving wife Sheila, who filled his life with happiness for over 40 years. He also leaves behind his brother Bruce Davis, and wife Donna of Sutton MA; his son, Christopher Davis, wife Valerie of Warwick RI and his daughter Megan; his daughter Deborah Cunningham, husband Glen of Lincoln RI, and her children Tyler, Jessica, and Cory; his son Stephen of Chesapeake VA, his children Caroline and Jonathon; and 5 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
Harold grew up in the Grafton MA area. After high school, he served in the US Marine Corps before relocating to RI. He was the owner of the Sandwich King in Providence RI as well as an Assistant Administrator of Steere House nursing home prior to his retirement. He took great pleasure volunteering for many years at the Warwick RI Senior Center as a tax-preparer for the elderly. Affectionately known as “Bubba” to his family, he enjoyed spending time on Cape Cod, gardening, and traveling.
A Celebration of his life will be scheduled for this summer in Rhode Island
