Thousands of youngsters have hit the field in the past few weeks to celebrate their Opening Days for various sports across the city. Warwick Continental held its ceremony last weekend at the fields behind the Crowne Plaza, while Apponaug celebrated the start of its season the week before at its complex. Also getting things rolling was Warwick Fire Fighters Soccer Club, which kicked off its spring recreational season earlier this month at Winslow Park.
