To the Editor:
Our fund drive for the “Animal Rescue Shelter” has now ended and John Wickes Elementary did exceptionally well collecting a total of 456 items badly needed for the animals.
After seeing the huge success of our “Thanksgiving Food Drive,” first grade students had an idea to help the pets further and had colorful posters made up, as well as having flyers sent to parents.
Mrs. Strough’s first grade won with the most items donated, and will be rewarded with an ice cream party in the future.
The fund drive was organized by Mrs. Kate Harrigan’s first grade class.
