Herbert R. Alexander Jr., 91, passed away on January 22, 2021. He was the husband of the late Barbara J. (Russell) Alexander. Born in Cambridge MA., he was the son of the late Herbert R. and Ellen J. (Lillington) Alexander.

He had proudly served his country in the United States Marines during the Korean Conflict. He had worked as a Banker/Data Processor for RI Hospital Trust National Bank, retiring after 37 years of dedicated service. He was a devoted member of the Edgewood Congregational Church since 1949, a member of the Doric Lodge #38 AF&AM (Cranston now affiliated with Harmony Lodge #9) , and he received a 50-year medal from the Grand Lodge. He enjoyed vacationing with his family on the lake in New Hampshire, and Disney trips. He also enjoyed woodworking and genealogy.

He is survived by his loving children, Laurie J. (Alexander) Burger and her husband John, Holly (Alexander) LeBlanc and her husband Raymond, and James Alexander and his wife Jill (LaPlante), his adoring grandchildren, Megan Brewer, Taryn Alexander, James and Christopher LeBlanc, Jennifer Phipps, Allison Dolan, Stephen Burger, and Kelly Keaton, also survived by his 10 great-grandchildren. Twins had a special place in his heart as he had twin younger sisters. There are two sets of twins among the great-grandchildren and one set in the grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters: Lorraine Alexander and Lucille (Alexander) Keach.
