Registration is now open for this year’s Kent Hospital NK5K road race/walk. For the third consecutive year, Kent Hospital is the corporate sponsor for this event to take walkers/runners on a 5k (3.1 miles) route through North Kingstown on Saturday, Sept. 6.
“It is an honor to have Kent Hospital as a continued corporate sponsor for this race again for 2014,” said race organizer Charles Breagy. “The partnership with Kent Hospital further enhances the local community and this well-known event and Kent Hospital helps to raise this 5K to the next level of success.”
The Kent Hospital NK5K begins and ends at North Kingstown High School and attracts approximately 800 runners and walkers. In addition, a portion of funds raised through this road race will be donated back to the North Kingstown School Department for use in developing the town’s high school sports and school extracurricular activities.
