With Captain James Masterson at the wheel and fellow volunteer firefighters “Big Rick,” Joel Tidus and Nathan Smith on board, the Greenwood Volunteer Fire Company, located at 45 Kerrick Street in Warwick, received many positive comments about this shiny red 1954 Maxim pumper in Sunday’s annual Columbus Day Parade on Providence’s Federal Hill. This Sunday, Oct. 20, the Greenwood Volunteer Fire Company will hold an open-to-the-public steak fry from 1 to 6 p.m. to raise revenue to restore its 1940 Mack pumper. For tickets and more information, call Masterson at 641-5008.
