Iron Works Tavern, the American tavern in Warwick’s Centre City district, has new ideas for lunch and to end the day and start the evening this summer.
The IWT express lunch was created for those who are time-crunched at midday. A daily selection of appetizers, soup and salads, sandwiches and flatbreads are prepared fresh and served promptly. Express Lunch is served Monday through Friday 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
From 3-6 p.m. daily, eight appetizer selections including wings, sliders, calamari, lamb lollipops and sesame crusted tuna sashimi are offered at half price. Three flatbread pizzas including Margherita and Proscuitto are also available.
In addition, raw bar fans can indulge with Six For 6 Before 6 – a half-dozen oysters or clams fresh from the sea for six dollars available from 11:30 a.m. to 5:59 p.m. daily.
In the original Iron Works Foundry building in Warwick established in 1867, Iron Works Tavern is a reflection of the industrial past and a beacon of the future. With a modern casual tavern behind the 8-foot, 300 pound solid oak front door, IWT serves lunch and dinner seven days a week. Parties and catered events are hosted Upstairs at the Tavern. The Iron Works Tavern is located at 697 Jefferson Boulevard in Warwick. More information is available at theironworkstavern.com and 739-5111.
