James J. Cesario, Sr. 77, the owner and operator of Cesario Paving Co. for 45 years, passed away Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Joan C (Conway) Cesario for 52 years.
He was a son of the late Joseph V. and Grace P. (Ferrara) Cesario. After graduating Gorton High School in Warwick in 1955, he served with the United States Navy for 4 years. He was a member of the RI Independent Contractors. He was the loving father of James J. Cesario Jr. and his wife, Donna; Joseph E. Cesario and his wife, Kristen, and the late Michael F. Cesario; loving grandfather of Kayla, Alisha, Victoria and Lilliana; brother of Jerry Cesario and his wife, Beverly, and the late Mary Sylvestre; brother-in-law of Don Sylvestre. He is also survived by his pet dog, "Buddy" Casey.
His funeral will be held Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 9 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Clement Church, Long St. Warwick. Burial with military honors will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m.
