Thomas MacGregor Sr., age 68, a life-long resident of Warwick, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023, in HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the son of the late, Edwin R. and Catherine M. (Hazelwood) MacGregor.

After completion of High School, he went on to join the United States Navy, serving our Country during the Vietnam war. He later received his associate degree and continued his career as a Computer Programmer for twenty-five years.

Thomas had a knack for attention to detail, he was well known and sought after for his restoration work on mechanical pencils, and fountain pens. He found joy in the art of Toy Making, creating a “Jacobs Ladder” which allowed those using it to create music. Whether he was cooking or tending to his vegetable and flower garden, Thomas found joy in the smaller things in life. He found pride in his work and enjoyed sharing everything he produced with those around him.

He is survived by his son, Austin MacGregor; siblings, Linda Burman and Edwin MacGregor; granddaughter, Tara MacGregor; best friend since childhood, Harris A. Shippee; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A Funeral Service with Military Honors will be held for Thomas on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at 11:00am in the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick. Relatives and friends invited. Visitation to be held prior from 9:00am-11:00am.
