Dolores I. (Leamy) Manchester, age 66, of Warwick, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023. She was the beloved wife of Richard Manchester, whom she shared 46 years of marriage with.
Born in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Dolores (Devlin) Leamy. After relocating to Rhode Island, Dolores graduated from Warwick Veterans High School, and she has remained a life-long resident of Warwick. She went onto work for many years in the jewelry industry, prior to her retirement.
She was a selfless, warm, loving woman known to always brighten a room with her smile, and always putting her family first. She enjoyed her time reading romance novels, crafting, traveling on cruises, sightseeing in New Hampshire and her frequent visits to see her family and beaches in Pennsylvania. Her greatest joy was spending time with her 8 beloved grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Richard Manchester Jr. and his wife Ashley, Scott Manchester and his wife Tara, and Tricia Knight and her husband Jerry; siblings, Robert (Laurie) Leamy, Susan (Thomas) Kazarian, Sharon (Charles) Kollett, Richard (Judy) Leamy, Stephen Leamy, and the late Elizabeth Moone and Frederick Leamy; and eight adored grandchildren.
A funeral service for Dolores will take place on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at 11:00AM in the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will be held the evening prior from 4:00PM-7:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children at: www.donate.lovetotherescue.org/give.
