Mary Theresa Rouleau, 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Hope Health Hospice Center in Providence surrounded by her family.

Born in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late James and Catherine (Fallon) O’Grady. She resided in West Greenwich for most of her life and was a parishioner of Christ the King Church in West Warwick.

Mary was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her beautiful spirit, quick wit, and keen mind will be missed by all those who knew her. Her legacy as a teacher and guidance counselor will live on with countless students that she supported and championed. Mary’s commitment to her morning crossword puzzle and decaf coffee was only surpassed by her unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She was remarkably courageous and selfless and led a life of quiet integrity.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Richard Rouleau, her daughter Betsy Furtado, her son-in-law Jeff Furtado, and her cherished granddaughter Grace Marybeth Furtado.

Mary is remembered by Thomas O’Grady of Glastonbury, Vincent O’Grady (Ann) of Saunderstown, and Stephen O’Grady (Kathleen) of Warwick, as well as her nieces and nephews and their spouses. Mary was the sister and sister-in-law of the late James, Janet, and Jane O’Grady.
