Judith A. “Judy” (O’Connor) McCormick, age 70, of Warwick, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023 at West Shore Health Center. She was the wife of the late John R. McCormick, who died in October.
Born in North Providence, a daughter of the late John E. and Helen M. (Walsh) O’Connor, she lived in Warwick for 45 years. She was a 1974 graduate of Rhode Island College with a bachelor’s degree.
Judith was employed as a teachers’ assistant at St. Peter School in Warwick from 2011 – 2018. She was previously employed as a secretary at Cory Tool & Findings, her late husband’s business, from the 1990’s to 2011. She also worked part-time as a sacristant at St. Peter Church for several years.
Judith is survived by a daughter, Shannon M. Blair and her husband Nick, of Warwick; two brothers and two sisters, Michael O’Connor and his wife Lori, of Louisiana, Barbara O’Connor of North Providence, John E. O’Connor, Jr. and his wife Adriene, of Providence, and Patricia O’Connor of Greenville; three grandchildren, Nolan Blair, Dylan Blair, and Sloan Blair; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, April 14, at 9:30 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Peter Church, 350 Fair Street, Warwick. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 13, from 3-7 p.m. Burial will be private.
