Mary Ann E. Mercaldo, age 69, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023 at the Rhode Island Hospital. Born and raised in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Vinicio and Ethel (D’Amico) Mercaldo. Mary Ann was the loving mother of Gina Girard and her husband Ryan and sister of Esterina Howard and her husband Frank. She was the beloved Nana of the late Scooby, the family’s West Highland White Terrier.
Mary Ann loved music, cooking and reading but her true passion was watching movies. She considered herself an avid Star Wars fan. One of Mary Ann’s greatest joys was spending time with her family.
