Michelle R. (Pageau) Burke-Nombrano, RN, 53, died unexpectedly January 18, 2012. She was the beloved wife of Mark W. Burke.
She was a daughter of Eva L. (Hannequin) Pageau and the late George E. Pageau. Michelle was a registered nurse at South County Hospital, where she had worked in the ER and recovery room for the past 11 years. She formerly worked at the VA Regional Medical Center. She had served in the U.S. Army at Walter Reed Medical Center during the Gulf War.
She was the beloved mother of Naomi R. James and Nicole Marie Nombrano and grandmother of Koby Roland James and Alexis Nicole James. She was the sister of Marc E., Robert L. and Kenneth R. Pageau, Patricia A. Carmadella, Suzanne M. Gentile, Jeannine N. Fuller and the late Donald H. Pageau.
Her funeral was held Jan. 21 from Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Clement Church, Long St. where military honors were accorded. Interment was private.
