Catherine P. Murphy, age 84, of Paul Avenue, Warwick RI died on 12/30/2023. Dr. Murphy, formerly of Boston, MA. and New York City, was the daughter of Mary and James Murphy. She was pre-deceased by her brothers, James Murphy Jr and John Murphy. She is survived by niece Kathleen Murphy Kineavy, nephews Kevin and Joseph Murphy, as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. Dr. Murphy was a graduate of St. Clare's School of Nursing and received undergraduate and graduate degrees from Hunter College, CUNY, and Columbia University.
Memorial service for Catherine is on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024, at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home from 12noon-2pm, 659 East Greewich Ave., West Warwick, RI 02893.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be sent to support Undergraduate Nursing Students at Boston College Connell School of Nursing in memory of Catherine.
