The Nellie Mae Education Foundation has announced its call for nominations for the Lawrence W. O'Toole Teacher Leadership Awards. Grants of up to $15,000 will be awarded to 12 high school teachers in New England who have advocated for student-centered approaches to learning.
In a student-centered environment, learning is personalized, competency-based, can happen at any time and is not restricted to the classroom.
The public is invited to submit nominations through studentsatthecenterhub.org/student-centered/2017-lawrence-w-otoole-teacher-leadership-awards until July 14 at 12 p.m. Award winners will be announced the week of August 21.
